"BODIES"

The inspiration for my blog project "BODIES"

Names and places have been altered to insure the safety of a particular residential area

Story telling is an art that inspires and sparks creativity in the minds of others. It can be difficult at times but pictures can make it easier...and if a picture is worth a thousand words....and a blog has about eighteen pictures, then I have about 18,000 words for you! Actually 1000 but who's counting when the tale of the Dienna Chalk stabber is to be told. The story starts when a random chalk outline was wandered upon by the pathway to Doyy Hall. It probably started off innocently, as just a spur of enthusiasm someone had admiring a fellow humans shape but it spurred a series of violent chalk murders at Dienna College. This was the first outline discovered by daring photo journalists but it was far from the last.

No one knows why a criminal does what they do but that criminal. This account is the assumptions of one journalist who caught a picture of all the crimes and tried to put it together. It can be interpreted differently by anyone but this is my interpretation of the events that took place in the Spring of 2013.

The first tragedy that occurred at the hands of this butcher may tug on the emotional heart strings.
A couple laying on Dienna's heart in the middle of the quad on campus. A heinous crime indeed where the killer would remove limbs from his victims. The couple suffered multiple amputations but they managed to keep holding hands through it all. Double chalk homicide is rare and an individual who kills a couple in such a fashion must be insane.

The young chalk woman seemed to have lost her arm and two feet in the struggle with her assailant.
Chalk man didn't fair any better losing his chalk arms and feet as well. Finding beauty in the mist of tragedy difficult but the love of this couple made it easier to bear.

The next victim in this reign of terror was child... or a very small man. Either way the scoundrel who perpetrated this crime couldn't be much farther upon further observation of the crime scene.
The small chalk man suffered a broken arm but right
next to him was fresh chalk. This gave a glimmer of
hope to the investigation meaning the felon may be
                                                caught in one night.

The most gruesome of all the murders was one poor chalk man. The killer left only appendages of this man one being his head.

The next part of the victim was his hand and...
And that was it, his head and an arm. Despicable.

A cat crucified in a cross was far from the expected. The significance of this may never be know but it does tell us the criminal may be an occult maniac.

The final assault was perhaps more then the deviant was expecting. A 6'8'' athletic chalk was the suffered the loss of a limb like most other victims but he got to keep his life. Seeing as I don't speak chalk I cold ask the man what happened.

And the fact that shoe prints started to appear.

I assumed it was due to the thrashing the scoundrel had received at the hands of the surviving chalk. With a trail to follow I knew it was a matter of time. Then the murder weapons where seen thrown not to far from the prints. A knife and a whole lot of chalk. With that amount of chalk there's no telling what this chalk man had done before or what he planned to do.

The chalk stained knife, the eraser on this night of terror still haunts me.

The final death in the mayhem. A stretched out mad man who deserved a more severe punishment considering his actions. Literally beat to dust the Dienna disaster was over and the campus could rest easy. Something like this scars a community in ways that make it impossible to heal. It is a horrible situation but something we should remember forever by remembering the fallen and making a change. A change in our public policies so our communities can once again be free from fear.
